"A Time My World Changed"

Mama

Words were spoken that didn't make sense.
That ear splitting voice that suffocated my ears still plays in my head time and time again.

I was like her punching bag, her words cutting me like broken glass.

As she stood there staring at me with those piercing eyes, I saw her morphing into that creature of my nightmares.

My stomach somersaulted as i felt the soft sweet sting of my salty tear sliding down my face.

She was her pride and joy, leaving me to be the one left behind.
I was invisible in her eyes, just like that smile to my face.

But as you live life you learn many things...

Time always heals.

Beautiful poem
"She was her pride and joy, leaving me to be the one left behind." Not sure who 'she' is because you dont lead up to it before hand.
"I was invisible in her eyes, just like that smile to my face."
Who's smile are you referring to?
